Total Solar Eclipse is occurring today July 2nd 2019 Tuesday.
This time total solar eclipse will be experienced by south american people. Last time they experienced it was back in 2017.
NASA said that totality is expected to start around 4:38pm local time (20:38 GMT) in La Serena, Chile, and end there around 4:40pm (20:20 GMT).
In Junin, Argentina, totality is expected to begin around 5:42pm local time (20:42 GMT) and end at 5:44pm (20:44 GMT).

As we all no that our solar system consist of several planets their satellite. Our own planet earth have its own satellite moon. The phenomenon of covering the sun by moon during the time it revolves in its orbit is known as solar eclipse.
From Where the total Solar Eclipse can be seen?
Chile, Argentina and an uninhabited South Pacific island people will only be able to see moon's umbral shadow this time. Though partial eclipse can be seen from other parts of South America, including Bolivia, Peru and Ecuador.

Is it safe to watch?
It's safe during total eclipse as NASA said but it is advised to use UV rays protective glasses to avoid possible hazards of harmful rays. NASA will be livestreaming this ecclipse.
